Stay (2017)

This short solo was created as I was simultaneously creating/developing my Exit Strategy video series. This was my first solo performance after my head injury in 2013. My main goal of this dance was to perform on stage without hurting myself. Instead of relying on “traditional choreography” or movements to tell my story, I used voice, text, and gesture to share my story and practice vulnerability on stage without risking my health or physical pain.
